Student Absence and Attendance

Absence:

Please access your child's Class Dojo page and message our office manager

Mrs Jane Lord to inform us about your child's absence. 

You can also email our school office staff at office@thornhilllees.com

If you wish to speak to someone about your child's absence you could also ring our school office and speak to Mrs Lord on 01924 430548.

Attendance:

Regular school attendance and punctuality is vital if a child is to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available in school.

 A telephone call should be made to the school on the first day of absence, outlining the reason for the child’s non-attendance.

 If your child is late to school, they will be signed in as late on the Inventry machine and must give a reason.

 If you do not contact the school by 10.00am to inform us of the reason for your child's absence we have to complete a home visit.  This is to make sure that you and your children are safe and well. 

Holidays must not be taken during term time. Unauthorised absences or patterns of absence are recorded and notified by the Pupil Attendance Officer. For further information please see our Attendance Policy.
