Regular school attendance and punctuality is vital if a child is to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available in school.
A telephone call should be made to the school on the first day of absence, outlining the reason for the child’s non-attendance.
If your child is late to school (after 9.00am), you will be asked to sign them in the ‘Late Book’ and give a reason.
If you do not contact the school by 10.00am to inform us of the reason for your child's absence we now have to complete a home visit. This is to make sure that you and your children are safe and well.
Holidays must not be taken during term time. Unauthorised absences or patterns of absence are recorded and notified by the Pupil Attendance Officer. For further information please see our Attendance Policy.

Good attendance is rewarded in lots of different ways at our school:
- In our Friday celebration assemblies, the class with the highest attendance for that week, receives the attendance trophy.
- At the end of each half term we have an ‘Attendance Assembly’, where we recognise children who have had 100% attendance for that half term. They will receive a small prize.
- Children who have achieved 100% attendance for the whole academic year, will receive a reward of an end of year trip out with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher.
